Larry, “The Day The Earth Stood Still” was re-made in the late 1990s. I got ahold of a copy of it and watched it with some trepidation. I was delighted and amazed that it had NOT ONE filthy word in it. However, it did not have the class of that old 1950s original. I still prefer the original. I also still prefer the 1950s to any decade that followed it.
Larry, have you and Stuart Best had a “falling-out”? I sure do miss those wonderfully entertaining conversations that you and he used to have together on his website.

Mr Best has a new “sidekick” who he calls “Doofuss Dingle”. Doofuss reports on what’s happening in the world. Go to the lightgate blogger and check it out. As for me, I miss, and prefer, the Taylor/Best updates of the past……………….
